Signing Ceremony with the Egyptian Judo Federation

Kodokan and the Egyptian Judo Federation signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Kodokan President UEMURA Haruki and Mr. Ahmed Marzouk, President of the Egyptian Judo Federation, in Tokyo on December 4, 2022.

　

　

This MOU is a renewal of the Kodokan Egypt Committee Agreement, the main purpose of which is to recognize Kodokan Judo Dan grades to Egyptian Judo trainees and to promote instructor training activities.

Furthermore, both parties have discussed and agreed on the dispatch of Japanese instructor from Kodokan to Egypt to promote Judo and to strengthen judokas in Egypt.

Kodokan and the Egyptian Judo Federation confirmed that they will further cooperate to promote Kodokan Judo in Egypt, train instructors, strengthen judokas, and contribute to society through Judo.

The signing ceremony was held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, where the Tokyo Grand Slam 2022 was held, and was attended by President of the Kodokan Mr. UEMURA and Mr. MATSUI Isao, Director of the Grading Department of the Kodokan, and President of Egyptian Judo Federation Mr. Marzouk and Mr. Mohamed Rashwan.
