Libraries throughout Japan have recently been taking steps such as closing their doors or curtailing their hours in order to prevent the spread of infection, and the Kodokan Judo Museum and Library is also facing the need to take this kind of action. As access to information becomes limited, we are gradually making the content of the Bulletin publicly available on the Kodokan website so that anyone can view it at no charge. Placing the Bulletin on the web is one of the projects that the late Mr. Murata promoted starting in July 2018. Here, in recognition of his foresight and the great enthusiasm he channeled into support for research, I want to reiterate my respect for him.
