Presidents of Judo Federations in ASEAN―Japan Visit

Presidents of Judo Federations in ASEAN―Japan Visit started on Friday, November 11th and will be held until Wednesday, November 16th. This is an exchange program co-hosted by Asia Center (Japan Foundation) and Kodokan to invite presidents of ASEAN Judo Federations.

The program aims at establishing and improving the Asian network in sports and cultural exchange through Judo. This time, as the beginning of the project, delegates from nine Judo Federations (Cambodia, Myanmar, Thailand, Philippine, Vietnam, Singapore, Laos, Malaysia and Indonesia) are visiting Japan.

 

On Saturday 12th, they inspected the Kodokan Cup All Japan Judo Weight Category Championships. On the next day, they visited Eisho-ji (birthplace of Judo), Nippon Budokan and Tokyo Metropolitan Government Buildings.

 

On Monday 14th, General Meeting for all delegations was held. It was followed by Individual Meetings held one by one to research the circumstances and needs of Judo in each country.
