Czech Judo Federation sent us a photo of Kano Shihan that was taken in Prague 80 years ago in 1936 when he visited there and the Czech Judo Federation was founded.

According to the records, Kano Shihan voyaged from Yokohama in Heian-maru on June 23, 1936, and arrived at Vancouver and traveled across North America. Then he crossed the Atlantic Ocean to Bremen and went to Berlin to participate in the 11th Berlin Olympics. After that, he visited Paris, London, Prague and Bucharest, then returned to Yokohama by Chichibu-maru on November 12. During the travel, he attended an IOC Session and played a big role to win the bid to realize the 12th Tokyo Olympics. The man on the right side of Kano Shihan is Mr. Smotlacha, the first president of Czech Judo Federation.
