The United Nations Youth Leadership Camp is an activity organized by the United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace (UNOSDP), inviting young Asian people selected from both deprived areas and refugee camps. It is conducted every year in different countries. For the purpose of cultivating new leaders for communities in Asian countries, this camp provides participants with learning activities including teaching methods through sport.

This time in 2014, it was held in Tokyo from January 20th to 30th and attended by 30 participants. The Kodokan hosted a Judo session as a part of the program on 21st January. Mr. Wilfried LEMKE, United Nations Secretary-General's Special Adviser on Sport for Development and Peace, came to the Kodokan and intently observed the session.

Participants got lectured about the history of Judo by Naoki Murata, the director of the Kodokan Judo Museum & Library, and then they visited the museum. A Judo practical experience program at the Main Dojo followed that.
